2. Fade Out

I am watching something disappear.
Very slowly fading from my view.
Reaching out to try to pull it back.
Reaching out to try to get to you.

I can hear some laughter in the past.
Echoes of the way life used to be.
Neither of us wants to call it off.
Neither of us can change history.

So we fade out, what we shared once, no longer shining,
We watch as our love fades away
Things are changing, we are so lonely.
Hurts to feel our love, fade out.

I go to the movies by myself
And do my best to try to comprehend
But even as the final credits crawl,
I’m not ready for this film to end.
